PSPC

Also known as: Public Services and Procurement Canada, PWGSC

The federal department acting as the central purchasing agent for the Government of Canada.

Public Services and Procurement Canada buys on behalf of other federal departments and agencies, particularly for larger or more complex requirements. It also sets much of the policy and standard contract language that federal procurement runs on.

It was formerly known as Public Works and Government Services Canada, and PWGSC still appears in older documents and legacy clause references.
